Xilisoft Video Splitter is an application that allows you to split video files in order to get several segments. It supports some of the most popular video formats, like AVI, MPG, MPEG, DAT, VOB, MP4, DivX, MOV, QT, H.264, 3GP, 3G2, WMV, ASF, etc.

It allows to split manually (placing split points in a timeline), or automatically (by time, size, or average split selecting amount of segments).

Features include a preview where you can check input and output video, and "after done" actions (like No Action, Shut Down, Hibernate, Standby, and Close Application) so that you can leave the program working and leave.

It has a neat interface that supports skins and multiple languages that include english, german, japanese and chinese.

The program runs in Windows 2000/XP and Windows Vista.

The trial offered limits output to 1 minute long videos.

This is a nice looking program and a useful one too if you only need to get segments of a video, otherwise, you might feel limited with its functions and features.
